Dr. Amy Rickett, Psy.D., NCSP is a Licensed Psychologist in the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. She is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with active credentialing in CT and MA. She has worked in public service through schools and state agencies for over 15 years, including public schools, outpatient clinics, and psychiatric residential settings. Her practices emphasize client-centered comprehensive assessment and targeted intervention. She has specialized training in assessment and intervention for problematic sexual behaviors, fire misuse, and other low incidence, high risk behaviors. She is also trained to provide neuropsychologically oriented evaluations. In her direct therapeutic work with youth, she integrates eclectic therapeutic modalities delivered through a trauma and attachment informed lens.
Dr. Rickett’s extended professional interests include executive coaching for adolescents and young adults, mindfulness as intervention for anxiety and trauma-based disorders, consultation, supervision of therapeutic providers and evaluators, and promotion of cross-agency collaboration to ensure a continuum of care.
Dr. Rickett has been involved in state association leadership and advocacy efforts, has served as an adjunct professor at Fairfield University, has provided practicum/internship supervision at her work sites and has served as guest lecturer at various universities for both graduate and undergraduate psychology courses.
Her personal interests include enjoying time at the beach, all things baseball, meditation, and reading.
