Alyssa Scivoletti, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Hi, I’m Alyssa Scivoletti, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in trauma, childhood emotional neglect, and dissociation. I work with high performers who spend a lot of time in their heads and are learning to reconnect with their bodies.
My goal is to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, make sense of their responses, and move toward healing at their own pace. Sometimes, what feels like anxiety, tension, or that inexplicable lump in your throat is actually your body responding to something it learned long before you had the words to explain it. Together, we work to understand those responses with curiosity rather than judgment.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and body-based, with a particular interest in dissociation, nervous system responses, and the lasting effects of childhood emotional neglect. I enjoy working with clients who are highly self-aware and intellectually insightful but may struggle to feel connected to their bodies, emotions, or sense of safety. My special interests these days include interpersonal neurobiology, the mind-body connection, and understanding how our relationships and experiences shape the way we move through the world. I integrate EMDR, parts-informed perspectives, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and other evidence-informed practices to help clients build a deeper understanding of themselves.
I also value providing affirming, sex-positive care that honors the complexity of relationships, identity, and lived experience. I enjoy supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and those navigating diverse relationship structures, with an emphasis on curiosity, autonomy, and creating space for people to define what connection and fulfillment look like for them.
With over three years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about understanding the ways we have learned to survive and creating room for something different.
I’m based in Ohio and provide telehealth therapy, which means you can meet with me from the comfort of your own space. I like to think I’m funny, and one of the perks of working together virtually is that you never have to worry about running into me at your gym or grocery store. Your awkward produce aisle small talk is safe with me.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me spending time with my four dogs, doing hot Pilates, or enjoying an iced coffee.
If you’re ready to explore the connection between your mind, body, relationships, and lived experiences, I’d love to connect with you.
