Erin Dillman
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! My name is Erin Dillman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who specializes in child and adolescent anxiety, trauma, and mood-related disorders. My work most often supports children and adolescents navigating symptoms of depression, anxiety (OCD, GAD), post-traumatic stress, and eating disorders.
I take a collaborative and developmentally informed approach to therapy, drawing from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and body-centered regulation strategies. I incorporate Interpersonal Therapy; an approach that focuses on strengthening relationships, improving communication, and supporting emotional connection to foster wellbeing.
I focus on building a space grounded in trust, consistency, and emotional safety. I encourage my clients to tune into how emotional experiences affect the body to support emotion regulation and coping. My sessions may include evidenced-based movement or experiential strategies alongside conversation, allowing children and adolescents to engage in ways that feel natural and supportive to them. I emphasize increased awareness of ongoing stressors, adaptive coping skill building, and emotion regulation techniques. I strive to support clients with meaningful connections to others in daily life, and value collaboration with caregivers.
I hold a Master’s Degree from the University of Connecticut and have experience working within Yale School of Medicine IICAPS and Yale New Haven Hospital Inpatient Pediatric Neurology.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outside with my two dogs (Charlie & Otis), hiking, photography, and yoga!
If you’re wondering whether therapy could be helpful for your child or adolescent, I welcome you to reach out to connect. I look forward to working with your family!
