Foster Care & Adoption

Foster care and adoption can be transformative and life-changing experiences for children and families. However, they often come with unique emotional challenges, identity questions, and complex family dynamics that require specialized support. Children in foster care and adoption often face challenges related to attachment, identity, trauma, and transitions. They may have experienced loss, neglect, abuse, or multiple placements, which can impact emotional regulation, behavior, and self-esteem. Parents and caregivers also face unique challenges as they work to create stable, loving environments while navigating complex emotional needs. At LEAP, we offer trauma-informed, compassionate counseling tailored to the needs of children, adolescents, parents, and families navigating the foster care and adoption journey. Our team of experienced therapists and coaches work collaboratively to help clients build resilience, strengthen family bonds, and navigate emotional complexities with confidence.
