Heather Evangelisti

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Hello, my name is Heather Evangelisti, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the past 12 years. I am dedicated to empowering individuals and families through compassionate, ethical, evidence-based behavioral support using Applied Behavior Analysis.
My clinical focus includes individuals with autism (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Each intervention plan is individualized for each client’s specific needs. This may include teaching functional communication, adaptive living skills, social skills, and helping individuals successfully manage stressful situations. I am passionate about using ABA to create meaningful and socially significant change. I frequently use more natural interventions to ensure skills generalize to real-world settings.
Every behavior serves a purpose, and my role is to understand the “why” to unlock a person’s potential. My priorities include collaboration with families and multi-disciplinary teams in order to provide the most effective services possible. I strive to create an ethical, supportive, data-driven environment where families feel heard and empowered as active participants in the therapy process. No one knows your child better than you!
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a paraprofessional, speech and language pathology assistant, behavior therapist, special education teacher, and BCBA. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and have over 20 years of experience working with individuals with ASD and other disabilities. As a BCBA, I have worked with clients between ages 3 and 56 years old in schools, day programs, clients’ homes, as well as clinic settings for the last 12 years.
When I’m not analyzing data or clinical trends, you can find me gardening, searching for different cuisines (huge foodie here), cooking, meditating, traveling, and making art. I find that my passion for making art helps me bring a balanced and creative perspective to my clinical work. I also love spending time with my husband and two cats.
I look forward to partnering with you to reach your family’s goals. Contact me today to begin your journey toward progress and independence.
